The picture shows it has a Super Deluxe dash heater. This would have a defroster built into it. A rear heater (under seat) would be an under seat heater. When a under seat heater was used a little defroster unit was installed on the firewall - not another heater. The way this car is set up if it does have both heaters it should pose no problem as the underseat heater is not visable unless some one really looks for it under the front seat.
Did the owner mention if the 4.11 rear end has been changed out? A taller ratio would be ideal with the 235 engine.

I thought they might have added the front heater to combat the cold Michigan winters...

Trico made two dash/steering column/visor mount vacuum powered fans, intended for defrosting and cooling, that come in handy...Plus their pretty neat, and are still readily available on ebay, cheap. I have several.

Gene, Thanks for the info. The former owner didn't realize it had a different engine. I think he just bought the car because he liked it, not because he is a car guy. It came in this morning already but I haven't had a chance to look it over yet. I had to wash the bugs off first! It has good bones but whoever did the restoration was an amateur as he didn't know a thing about aligning the body parts. It is O.K. to drive but has lots of things that need doing. The first thing I will give it is a tune-up as the exhaust is coal black! He said he never had to use the choke to start it, just pump the gas a couple of times but to be careful or it would flood. Now I know why. I had to back it off the trailer as the trucker didn't have any idea of how to drive a stick shift, let alone know how to start the car. Very happy to have it!
Kevin47, I have a period electric rubber bladded column mount fan but will probably put that in my '38 someday. Beamer

Herein lies the problem, ED...Vehicles often have to be rearranged on the carrier as to their order of drop-off...Now, I don't care if he's college graduate, if he can't drive whatever might come down the pike...I sure wouldn't hire him...This company is down right scary...! And, I here there are a lot of theses scary transporter companies out there...!

Beamer,

Congratulations on getting a coupe. Coupes are beautiful cars. Unless painted in some God-awful color. Why does The Wizard of OZ come to mind? Agrin Anyway glad you got it.

I clicked on the pics but nothing came up but a blank screen. I was going to join the others in pointing out this and that. Oh, well.

While this car of yours is not a 41 it is still a good looking car. I hope you enjoy it.

Let us know what you need to get it right.

Best,
Charlie computer

BTW: Get a real truck. hood

Misplaced the radio receipt.
It didn't work and I pulled it when I did my rewire. Took it to a guy in Sacramento. He was working on an old B&W tv when I got there. Looks like the vibrator, capacitors and resisters. Checked the tubes repaired tuning needle and cleaned aligned and adjusted. Labor was the big item. I haven't got it in yet as we have been busy and messing with the wiper motor.
