I posted awhile back, in the 1938--42 forum, a question on my ignition switch being in the upper left corner of the dash:

I finally got an explanation from Joneses. My car was "modernized", probably 50 years ago. My starter has a solenoid riding piggyback on it. Apparently, this eliminates the starter button and the starter switch. This somehow required moving the ignition switch from below the ash tray, to the upper left corner of the dash.

I have someone rebuilding me an 1107001 core, but it looks like I need some other parts--a bellows, a button, and a starter linkage. That last I found on ebay:

I looked at my car and found nothing like that. Can somebody look at the ebay linkage, and let me know if it's correct for a 38 sedan, and if it's missing anything? Bolts and cotter pins don't bother me; those are hardware store items. I just don't want to buy a part that's missing something major.
