There is a 2 hour documentary on TV tonight, called "Chevy 100." This is the movie/documentary that the producers posted here in Chat a few months ago asking for input, info, cars, etc.
It will be on the Velocity Channel, formerly known as "HD Theater." This is the same channel that carries Wayne Carini "Chasing Classic Cars" and "What's My Car Worth," and all the auction coverage events.
It will air at 8 PM Eastern time, not sure for other time zones.
I have seen bits and pieces of it. I am in it, Pinky Randall is in it, and others. It looks pretty darn good and well made.

Yep, I believe it's DirecTV only. Nope, I was wrong, it's part of the Discovery Channel network of channels. Holler at Dish and tell them to sign up.

Is it (or like) the video Bill B mentioned in Spark Gap yesterday?? Bill Barker: New video added at: http://vcca.org/videos.htm I just watched that video. It's an hour and 24 minutes in length. Probably about right for 2 hours of TV, when commercials are added. The video is very interesting, informative and entertaining. Lots of face time for Mr Prez, Don Williams. Good Job. Bill.

I would like to see that though...I'll check around if it will be on a alternate station...I am sure Chevrolet wants as many people as possible to see it. Prez Don and Pinky did GREAT! The show was a bit disappointing for me. There was not much history but more promotion of newer vehicles. Way too much emphasis on modifications than I prefer. And you can now all "appreciate" that Austin is not a typical Texas town.

I agree....
Both Don and Pinky Randall were great. I enjoyed the program, even with all the modifieds and low riders.
Great job Don and great job getting a little plug for the VCCA into the program.

The show had enough modified to do me for the rest of this year. I see a future for Pinky and Don. (Not really shure what it is though.)

Dish Network did indeed air the program on one of the Discovery Channels, "Velocity". It is not part of the basic package but is part of the more expensive HD package. I watched the program on my HD Dish Network receiver.

I watch the show and was impressed. Enjoyed all parts except the modified jumping jacks(I think from southern California). Never seen any of that stuff around my parts.

It's going to be on a couple more times this week - "Check your local listings."
I was pretty pleased wtih how it came out. I understand that we don't approve of the modified direction - but you have to remember, this was a movie about ALL of Chevrolet's 100 years, not just VCCA's vision. And while we go stock, we cannot deny that there are zillions of modified Chevys running around the world. It's a reality, and they love 'em, too, in their own way.

Yup,
364 on my Dish Network too. It is an HD channel so will not show up on the non-HD receivers.

i checked it out here in Calif and found it on channel 281 on Saturday at 10PM. I have Direct TV for my service.

I heard from the Producer and somebody at GM that that was basically a "pirated" version that wasn't supposed to be there....
So I think Bill's link is probably going to stay dead.
