Did you see the announcement yesterday on vcca.org?

The new 2011 Judging Manual is now available in the Resource Center (Members Area). Also HPOCF and CDPF forms.

Thanks to Steve Scott
Enjoy! carbana

Bill,

Are general members not allowed to download the manual? When I try to open it, I get a "FORBIDDEN" message. I see where you can buy a printed form but I just wanted to see what the judges would be looking for and don't need a printed version.

Youngfalcon,
Have you also registered as a VCCA member on the main VCCA.org site? If not you need to do that to be able to see the members area stuff.

Unless I am missing something I have been registered since '09. I went to the membership information page and everything looks OK. It shows me active.

You have been registered on VCCA ChatterII since September 2009 but that is not the same as registering on the main vcca.org website. Enter "vcca.org" on your browser address line. That will take you to the VCCA homepage. Look in the top right corner for the black box with "Member Login". Click on the box and follow instructions to register on that site too. Once that is done you will be able to see VCCA member only stuff on that site as well as the VCCA member only stuff on ChatterII.

Chipper,

As far as I can tell I am correctly registered there. When I open it I see my login name and when I go to the "membership record" everything looks correct. I can also go to the club store, etc. Am I still missing something here?

Chipper,

I went back again and tried to download the judging info and had no problem. I don't know why there was a problem before. Maybe it was my computer. After reading over the many pages I think I understand what will be looked at. The awards part is a bit confusing.

But I do have a question. It says you must display the "blue oval" or be penalized. Is that something that I need to purchase or is it the decal I received from the VCCA when I joined. Either way, where should they be displayed?

The ovals that must be displayed are those awarded after a first junior and first senior. They help observers know the status of the vehicle and also promote the VCCA when the car is displayed.
