I have a CASCO 1940s 6 volt interior fan (rubber blades) that I wish to use in 2 old cars.
Car # 1 has a negative ground electrical system.
Car # 2 has a positive ground system.
A male plug is attached to the fan's electrical cord, which has 2 wires.
Please advise as to how to wire each of the female plugs to each of the cars.
(I plan to install 6 volt fuses in the cars.)
If I hook the fan up wrong briefly, on either car, will it damage the motor or will it just spin backwards?
Thank you,
Bill Harper

By reversing the two wires the fan will run in the opsit direction the motor doesn't care.
