I see on Ebay 6-volt sealed beam headlights that have a halogen bulb instead of the original style tungsten bulb. Has anyone tried these on their car? Any issues with current draw? Is the difference in illumination significant?

Mark, I replaced the lamps, in my '72 Chevy pickup, with halogens and there is a significant difference. I would think 6 volt lamps would do the same. Current draw??? I don't know.

There's a set of them installed on the 48 Fleetmaster I acquired this past Summer. They seem pretty bright, and, the old wiring hasn't gone up in smoke yet. I haven't driven the car at night yet to see just how good they are.
