How much clearance if any should there be betwween the yoke and the bearings on a '33 master U-Joint? I have a good looking used one that I can slide the yokes back and forth about an eigth of an inch. Is this normal? The one on my car now is pretty worn out.
Thanks for any replies,

Ed

Thanks for the reply. I knew that most I have seen had quite a bit of end play but I guess I have never seen a new one to compare with a used one. It always seemed strange to me as a newer needle bearing type has no end play on the cross.
