I need to change the rear seal and bushing on my 57 3100 series pick up with the original (I belive) 3 speed overdrive transmission. The part I picked up at my local parts store looks simple,,,,, any secrets? can i remove this with a good needle nose plyer. There is a groove worn in the yoke, I am hoping it wasnt pushed too far,Im looking for a new one. Next, the overdrive, I dont belive mine works, how do I test it in the back yard? does anybody know of replacements, or a rebuild service? This trans is bolted up to a 350 chevy v-8, will it take the extra abuse? Thanks guys and have a great summer
