Depending upon what kind of service you have, ie. DSL, Cable, dialup, etc. you might want to make some changes to improve your downloading times.

You can turn off the pictures along the left side and see if that improves your speed.

Go to MYSTUFF,
Then PREFERENCES
Then "Turn off the left column" - Yes
Click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.

Good luck.

Since I am on a dial-up I turned off the photos on the left side of the forum months ago and it did help the speed a little. Chevy Chatter is still slow for me but other sites, like eBay and etc. seem to be a faster on a dial-up than Chevy Chatter II.

Maybe you should feed the mice to the cat and get a 3G bulldog. I switched to 3G several months ago. It is more costly but worth it in speed. Can actually view videos on the web.

Naw....a dial-up is fine for me since I am in no hurry to get anywhere. The 3G would have been cool for eBay but since they no longer take "real money" my bidding there has almost come to an end....so a dial-up is fine for me. It's just that Chevy Chatter, for some reason, seems to be slower on a dial-up than other sites.

Bill had something cleaned up and the delays I had been experiencing since the upgrade are now gone and it's running great!

Guys,
Since the speed on any given site is dependent on the number of other users on the site comparisons may not give an accurate indication. Over a long period of time those comparisons will be come more accurate.

it does vary a little day to day but overall Chatter seems to be on par speed wise with the other major forums I visit. Cox cable being my provider.
