Well I hope 09 is a better year in Texas than 08 was. I was hopping to start a new region down around the golden triangle area. And was looking forward to the Galveston show. But the economy went south and then IKE came in and really did a number on all of us in this part of Texas. Hopefully gas will go down some more and I can get a new region off the ground, this next year. That is the only thing I can figure is that people did not have any extra money due to gas costing almost 4 dollars a gallon. I am going to get some brochures and stat handing them out. To see if I can start this region.

LKS454 we just got the new region in Southern Illinois off the ground. I wishyou all the luck in the world with the region in Texas. An idea that helped me was I emailed Jean Fink and she emailed me all the VCCA members in the State of Illinois and I had to do a little work to find the ones in my area and started writing them letters aksing them to help me start a region it took about six months but in Sept we had our first meeting. It worked in Illinois may work in Texas. let me know if I can help an any way.

Yes, I have done all that. I don’t know what is wrong I think that a lot of it is the economy with gas around 4 dollars gallon it just had people watching their money . And then we had the hurricane hit. But I’m going to get one started it just will take me some more time and work.

I think that some of the reason that you may have a problem of starting that new region in the "Golden Triangle" may be that there is already a active well established region in the Houston, Orange, Beaumont area. "The San Jacinto Region".
