Well, it's that time of year again... I think that I've upgraded the Chat site in November for each the past four years... I already have the upgraded software all ready to go. What I might do is wait again until Thanksgiving Day/Weekend and do it then. That gives me a couple of days when I'm home so that I can follow up as needed to shake out the bugs. But then again, I might test it a "little" and go all the way, the weekend before Thanksgiving!! It'll depend on what kinds of complextions I find.... And... how long it takes for the database backup to complete. Once before it took 29 hours. Ouch. But that was with our old host provider. Remember those days ??  I probably won't activate too many new features right away this time. I want to make sure that the upgrade is stable first. Then I'll start to "leak" them out a few at a time. In any case, I'll post a notice here to let you know. For now, recognize that the site will be down for 3 or 4 hours on Thanksgiving, or the day after. ...or the week before!!

Thanks for reminding us of those days, Bill. The same story again, as gas is up, but same with USD this time. During the summer we paid NOK 5,05 for 1 $, and now NOK 7,10. 40% higher, folks!
Hopefully we will save enough money to visit Flint in 2011 anyway during the next years.

Hee Hee. In a month and a half the days will be getting longer which means winter is coming to a close and I'll be back out on the golf course. :grin:

Bowlers? Huh? Dogs don't bowl! Anyway, this is a Chevy site so we need something related to Chevrolet......like the bow tie emblem for example instead of golf balls!  :) :grin:

CHAT will be OFFLINE beginning Tuesday morning Nov 25. I am taking two days off from work so that I can perform the next big upgrade of the system. I hope to have it back online the same day, and Wednesday for sure.

Yes, a big thanks to Bill for all he does around here!!
As for the talk about golf balls, bowling balls, chevy bowties --- I remember my mom telling me "be careful what you wish for!?!" Remember guys, BB can likely do anything around here....
It looks like we'll have something else to be thankful for on Thanksgiving. We'll have our beloved chat site back by then.
