Just got back from the Tustin, Ca show. There were around 120 cars of all ages and colors. Trucks, cars, and rods all together. Great little show. It was there fourth annual and my first time their. The show was started with the local fire department ladder rig sending an American flag about a hundred feet into the air while the Star Spangled Banner was being played. Then they had an invocation and the show was officially on. Five VCCA judges came over and picked at my little 31 coupe and moved on. When all was said and done my 31 came away with a "First in Class" and a "First Junior Award" from the VCCA with 971 points. I was really pretty proud of my little buggy yesterday. Thanks to all that made it happen over the years of restoration. This is just the Best group around. :vcca:

Way to go, Sal & Lynda. [I bet I made some points with her there.] Now you two enjoy it.
I think I'm a fairly wise person because I'm smart enough to realise I'm not too bright.

Sal got a well deserved award
His '31 IS a beautiful car. I finally got to see it this past weekend.
Congrats Sal on all your hard work and talents. And to your wife for her support and patients. I am sure this was a "family" project.
Hope to see you soon, Michael41

Sal I am not a VCCA judge and have only seen photos but I think someone stole the last 29 points from you. Admittedly it would be hard to get the full 1000 points with a car straight from the Chevrolet assembly line in 1931. Tony

Thanks all for the kind words. I feel like the whole chat site is part of that little 31 coupe. It sure is fun to sit back and gloat. :) What can I say? I guess I will go and soak my head to get the swelling down. Thanks to everyone that helped put it together. :vcca:

Sal, Congradulations on your win. I know the guys really loved your car. I am sorry I missed you (and the show) but I have heard from many of our folks that it went well. All of us have been working for many months to make this show special and on Saturday morning, we all will be getting together to review the highs and lows of the show and start the planning for next year. So everyone, mark your calenders, the Orange County Region's 5th Annual All Chevy show will be on Sunday, October 11, 2009! And next year, I WILL be there!
