Ross, Thanks for letting us know.
If you have not already done so I would suggest adding a bottle of General Motors Engine Oil Supplement for the breaking in of the new cam.(or something else used for that purpose)
Note second post-are all valves moving up and down. This sounded like a clasic case of worn cam lobes from the beginning.

Hello Gene I thought I had the proper valve action but was mistaken, live and learn. I used to work in a Chevy dealership in the 60's and use EOS then and put a bottle in now for good measure plus I used GM cam lube when we installed cam. I let it run for about a 1/2 hour at 2000 RPM to break in cam. Thanks again Ross

"pour some marvel mystery oil on both valves and while your buddy is turning the engine over slowly, take a brass headed hammer and tap the valve stems/rockers. repeat this for 10 or 15 minutes and the valve(s), if stuck, may free up . good luck, mike What is the mystery oil named, and where to get it, please?
