I bought a NOS master cylinder number 5454126 for a 1953-54 Chev standard shift. I was going to install it and found the casting number on the cylinder was 5454137, the books that I have does not list that casting number for a chev or am I missing something, was there a casting number change along the way?

Thanks Ross 50chev

Ross,
My 1953 book shows 5454126 and the 1959 book 5454137 so there was a casting number change at some point.
When your done installing the M/cyl let me know your impression of the change. I assume your keeping the Huck brakes.
