I am rebuilding my 54 generator (#1100028) and while waiting for parts I installed a (1105009) polarized the reg and it works fine. My question is: what does this generator (1105009) fit? My book (1929-1954) does not list this number.

What carburetor do you have on your 1932? Is it an original Carter W-1 212S? Or is it the later 235S? Or a replacement?

As Ray suggested check the float for leaks and adjustment. Also check to see if the float bowl cover is straight
